ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Coming up on Tuesday, the South Dakota Legislature will be addressing in a special session, the proposal to fund the new mens prison that will be in Sioux Falls.

Lt. Governor Tony Venhuizen who chaired the Project Prison Reset Task Force provides a preview of what to expect.

Venhuizen recap what the task force did this summer.

Venhuizen addressed one of the concerns raised as to the cost to run the prison each year once built.

Venhuizen compared this new prison to the one being planned for Nebraska.  He addressed the actual cost Nebraska will be paying for their new prison.
