VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – Over the past few years, downtown Vermillion has developed with a number of restaurants, bars and small retail shops. The ongoing pandemic is a threat to all of that.

Nate Welch, Executive Director of the Vermillion Chamber and Development Corporation, there is one priority now.

Welch says they want to rely on facts not rumors.

Welch says business activity is all over the board.

Welch says many of their local businesses are trying to take advantage of the Paycheck Protection Plan offered through the Small Business Administration.
