Man found on Mitchell railroad tracks identified

MITCHELL, S.D. (KMIT) – Authorities have identified the man whose body was found on the railroad tracks below a Mitchell viaduct last week. 57-year old Leon Titze’s body was found on Friday at around 9 a.m. Results of an autopsy show that Titze died from injuries that resulted from falling from the top of the viaduct. It appears that Titze pulled his body over the Sanborn Boulevard pedestrian guard rail fence and caused his own death.
