KIMBALL, S.D. (Press Release) – An 84-year-old man died Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash west of Kimball.
The name of the deceased is not yet being released pending notification of family members. He was the only person involved.
A 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup was eastbound on Interstate 90 when it went into the south ditch. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the Chamberlain hospital.
South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this time.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
