PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Marijuana has become a major topic of discussion for South Dakota lawmakers. Amendment “A” which legalized recreational marijuana has been held up by a court decision and medicinal marijuana, a product of “IM26” appears headed for at least a year’s delay.
Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton says there are some bills that attempt to outline some regulations around recreational uses of marijuana.
Stevens, vice chair of the Judiciary Committee, says its just guessing at this point.
Stevens says they have had several rounds of talks about marijuana.
Both Amendment “A” and “IM26” were approved by state voters last November.
