PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota voters approved two marijuana related issues last week, an initiative to allow medical uses and a constitutional amendment allowing recreational use.
Drey (dray) Samuelson, spokesman for “South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws” says times have changed.
Samuelson says most people want to see regulation of marijuana uses.
Samuelson says they wrote the amendment to try to keep the legislature from making changes to either issue.
Under state law, both issues become effective July 1 of next year.
