YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Following the Impeachment and conviction of former Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg, Governor Kristi Noem named Pennington County States Attorney Mark Vargo as interim Attorney General. Vargo says he has had a good working relationship with the staff of that office.

Vargo says he has a lot to learn about the workings of the office.

Vargo says he wants to help the office back to a more normal routine.

Vargo will head up the office until the Attorney General elected in November is sworn in in January.
