Marty Jackley announce his candidacy for U.S. House seat

STURGIS, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, South Dakota Attorney General made it official.  He will be running for the U.S. House seat representing South Dakota.

He released the following statement to the public:

“I am humbled by the outpouring of support and encouragement I have received across the state to run for Congress,” said Jackley. “I am running for Congress because the fight to save our country is in Washington. It has become clear that President Trump needs more true conservative allies in Congress to strengthen our economy, secure our borders, rebuild our national defense, reduce the size of government, and cut taxes for hard working Americans.”

“As South Dakota’s Attorney General, I have been proud to support the President and the America First Agenda that voters overwhelmingly backed last November,” said Jackley. “I have worked with President Trump to secure our southern border, stop the flow of dangerous drugs into our communities, and I am standing behind him to support law enforcement and keep our country safe.”

Jackley is currently serving his third term as South Dakota Attorney General.  He was Attorney General from 2009-2019.  He also run a campaign for South Dakota Governor back in 2018 losing in the Republican Primary to Kristi Noem.
