YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Former South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley is stepping up his campaign to win another term in that office.
He is making more appearances around the state and making contacts with republican delegate that will choose candidates at their June state convention.
Jackley says he is also talking about law enforcement issues.
Jackley says they can always look for ways to improve.
Jackley says there have been more violent interactions with law enforcement.
Jackley served ten years as Attorney General before being term limited in 2018. Current Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg, being investigated for possible impeachment, has not officially announced if he is running for re-election.
