PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Matt Gassen, the long time C.E.O. of Feeding South Dakota has announced that he will retire at the end of August.

He says its time to spend more time with his family.

Gassen says it will be difficult to leave.

Feeding South Dakota now distributes more than seventeen million pounds of food every year. Gassen says there are several reasons for the growth in their services.

The Board of Directors has hired a search firm to find the next leader of Feeding South Dakota.
