Mayor Travis Schaunaman previews the State of the City address he’ll deliver next week

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Coming up next week, Aberdeen Mayor Travis Schaunaman will be delivering his 3rd State of the City address since becoming mayor in 2019.  The speech will recap what happen in Aberdeen in 2021 and look ahead to 2022.

One of the successes of 2021 was the opening of Dakotah Bank Stadium on the NSU campus.  Schaunaman believes this will be the trend going forward for NSU.

Schaunaman next talks about housing developments happening in Aberdeen.

Schaunaman looks ahead to 2022  Schaunaman feels the census numbers was off because of the increased housing needs.

The mayor discuss the Aberdeen Airport and talks adding flights elsewhere besides Minneapolis.

Schaunaman talks about the infrastructure projects and the money coming in from Washington.

Mayor Schaunaman believes 2022 will be the year that Main Street will become 2 way street.
