STURGIS, S.D. (KOTA) – With the pandemic cancelling most city-sponsored events this year, the annual Mayor’s Ride was one that continued, and Monday morning, the ride departed the Sturgis Community Center on its annual trek through the Black Hills.
Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen says this ride has been a special part of the Rally; not only for the amazing beauty of the Black Hills but that it brings people together from all over the word….and brings them back year after year.
All proceeds from the ride go back to local emergency services.
Mayor Carstensen led this year’s ride out of town where it passed by Mount Rushmore National Memorial before concluding at the State Game Lodge at Custer State Park.
