Aberdeen, SD (Press Release) Moccasin Creek Country Club will host the 33rd Annual Western Pro-Am July 17th through the 21st. Talented Dakotas Tour professionals from throughout the country, as well as internationally, will play with amateur teams at the area club in a multi-round event. The pros will compete for over $98,000 in prize money with the winning professional taking home $23,000. Satellite pro-ams will also take place in Britton and Groton during the week.
Moccasin Creek will host a free clinic open to the public featuring professionals from the Dakotas Tour. The Area Federal Credit Union Clinic will take place on July 17th from 3:00-4:00. Juniors, military personnel, veterans, and adults are encouraged to attend and receive some free pointers from the pros. Free food and drink will be available.
Local sponsors throughout the Aberdeen area contribute over $90,000 to the event, which will benefit the First Tee junior golf programs in Aberdeen and events presented by Junior Golf Aberdeen. The First Tee and Junior Golf Aberdeen programs impact the lives of young people by providing educational opportunities that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
