Medicaid expansion to be voted on in November

SOUTH DAKOTA(WNAX)- South Dakota voters will have two Medicaid expansion issues on the November ballot. One a constitutional amendment, the other an initiated measure.

Rick Weiland with “Dakotans for Health” backed the initiative and says having the option is good for voters.

Weiland says the rejection of “Amendment C” by primary voters give more weight to ballot issues.

Weiland says his group and others now have confidence to bring more ballot issues.

South Dakota is among twelve states that have not expanded Medicaid insurance coverage.
