Medical marijuana has big lead, recreational marijuana vote tight

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Here are the latest updated results from today’s election.

In the race for Brown County Commissioner (two members will be elected): Rachel Kippley-R 7,075 (37%), Duane Sutton-R 6,947 (34%), Michael E. Nehls-D 6,247 (29%).

In the race for State Representative District 3 (two members will be elected): Drew Dennert-R 4,975 (32%), Carl Perry-R 4,337 (27.9%), Leslie McLaughlin-D 3,181 (20.5%), Justin Roemmick-D 3,052 (19.6%).

In the race for State Representative District 1 (two members will be elected): Tamara St. John-R 3,405 (41.5%), Jennifer Healy Keintz-D 2,483 (30.3%), Steven D. McCleerey-D 2,307 (28.2%).
In the race for State Representative District 2 (two members will be elected): Kaleb W. Weis-R 1,814 (51%), Lana Greenfield-R 1,719 (49%).

In the race for State Senator District 1: Michael H. Rohl-R 3,412 (56.5%); Susan Wismer-D 2,623 (43.5%).

State Senator District 2: Brock L. Greenfield-R, unopposed.

State Senator District 3: Al Novstrup-R unopposed.

In the race for United States Senator: Mike Rounds-R 24,717 (66.6%), Dan Ahlers-D 12,379 (33.4%).

In the race for United States Representative: Dusty Johnson-R 29,248 (83.1%), Randy “Uriah) L. Luallin-D 5,944 (16.9%).

In the race for Public Utilities Commissioner: Gary Hanson-R 78,027 (70.6%), Remi W.B. Bald Eagle-D 27,011 (24.4%), Devin Saxon-L 5,498 (5%).

Supreme Court Retention: Yes, 9,647 (83%), No 2,003 (17%).

Constitutional Amendment A (medical marijuana): Yes 99,300 (67.3%), No 48,243 (32.7%)

Constitutional Amendment B (sports betting): Yes 84,308 (56%), No 63,819 (44%).

Initiated Measure 26 (recreational marijuana): Yes 74,263 (50.5%), No 72,684 (49.5%).

Charter Amendment (home rule charter): Yes 5,029 (64%), No 2,850 (36%).
