VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – Medical technology is rapidly evolving and improving, allowing quicker and more accurate testing and diagnoses, but those results still must be delivered human to human.

Dr. Tim Ridgway, the incoming Dean of the Sanford USD School of Medicine says more than technology is changing in medicine.

Ridgway says doctors have to be able to explain all the data they have to each patient.

Ridgeway says he wants to include humanity in what they teach medical students.

Ridgway will succeed Dr. Mary Nettleman, who will retire in September.
