ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – In an effort to help local employers address mental health issues with their employees, the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce’s Health & Wellness and Workforce & Education Committees have joined forces to host a three-part webinar series. Each session will include unique information, and everyone is encouraged to attend all three parts of the series.

The following are dates, speakers and topics:

• June 14 – Amy Sanderson, Northeastern Mental Health Center – signs & symptoms, workplace culture, breaking the stigma and Mental Health First Aid
• July 19 – Amber Reints, Avera Health – suicide awareness, data trends and how to ask the question
• August 23 – Kimberly Dorsett, Richardson Law Firm & Angela Hyde, NAMI South Dakota – legal issues surrounding mental health & employees and the importance of taking care of your brain

All sessions will run from 8:30-9:30 am and will be hosted by the Aberdeen Development Corporation inside the Malchow Plaza Board Room, where there will be limited seating. Participants are encouraged to use the Zoom option, which will be recorded and posted after to aberdeen-chamber.com/events-programs/mental-wellness-in-the-workplace.
