ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – After three years as the head girls’ basketball coach at Aberdeen Central High School, Mikayla Arechigo will be stepping down from her post & resigning.
Commenting on her resignation, “One of the first pieces of advice I got as a coach was to never forget the kids around your Thanksgiving table, and that really hit me during the cross-country & basketball seasons,” Arechigo said. “Stepping down from head coach of girls basketball and as assistant girls cross-country is the right decision for my family. While I’ll miss coaching the girls, I’m extremely excited to spend more time this summer and next school year with my two kids, husband, and family.”
Aberdeen Central wrapped up their season on March 1st & finished the 2023-2024 season, 9-12 and falling just one game short of the State AA Tournament in Sioux Falls.
