BIG STONE CITY, S.D. (Press Release) – A Milbank, S.D. man has been identified as the person who died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in Big Stone City.

A 2019 Kawasaki ZX636GKFA was southbound on South Dakota Highway 109 when it went through the intersection with U.S. Highway 12, left the roadway, went into a yard and hit the wall of a garage.

Alex Hughes, who was the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. He was the only occupant.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.

The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
