SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- A dispute is brewing over the salary of Minnehaha County Auditor Leah Anderson.
County Commissioners are reviewing compensation for elected officials and department heads.

Commissioner Joe Kippley disagrees, and says Anderson’s actions of undermined confidence in the county’s ability to handle elections efficiently and accurately.
The Commission will consider three proposed compensation packages next week.
Kippley says Anderson is undermining confidence in her office’s ability to handle elections accurately.
He says a case in point…a recent online training session with the county’s election vendor.
Next week, Commissioners will consider three compensation packages for elected department heads.
One of those proposals bumps everybody’s base by 7 1.2-percent – except the auditor – who base would be left the same.
