Missouri River levels falling slowly

OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – Levels of the big reservoirs on the Missouri River continue to fall, but very slowly.

Mike Swenson is with the Water Management Bureau at the Corps of Engineers in Omaha.

Swenson says releases from the lower dams will continue high well into fall.

Swenson says Lake Oahe is also slowly falling.

Swenson says there will be maintenance on the hydro power units at Oahe Dam next week, which will move some of the releases to the outlet tunnels.
