OMAHA, Neb. (WNAX) – Big reservoirs on the Missouri River should have enough room to handle anticipated mountain snowpack runoff.
Mike Swenson is a hydraulic engineer with the Corps of Engineers in Omaha.
Swenson says they expect to continue high flows from the dams for some time.
Swenson says they are seeing drops in some reservoir levels.
Swenson says the level on Lake Oahe also is dropping and they expect to hold releases from Oahe Dam to 49,000 cubic feet per second.
