YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Missouri River and the upstream big lakes will continue to be on the low side the rest of the year.
Mike Swenson with the Corps of Engineers in Omaha says Gavins Point Dam releases will stay pretty stable.
Swenson says there has been some reduction in flood storage capacity.
That was mostly due to flooding along the Yellowstone River.
Swenson says the big reservoirs will stay well below their flood water capacities.
Swenson says due to the low water, the downstream navigation season will be cut by a few days later this fall.
