PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- A parents group was again out in force at Monday night’s Pierre School Board meeting to confront what they feel are lower than acceptable results from state testing of District students in English, math and science. Jason Muldoon has two kids in the District and says 50-percent isn’t good enough.
Moms for Liberty Hughes County Chapter president Maggie Seidel says the group has been focused on reading with District administrators.
Board President Dan Cronin says he doesn’t disagree with what Moms for Liberty is proposing but adds the District has been doing some of that already.
Before Moms for Liberty spoke at the meeting, Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt noted that74-percent of current Riggs seniors are at a three-point-oh grade point average or higher at this point in the school year.
