Months of planning ready to be put into action on university campuses

BROOKINGS, S.D. (WNAX) – Students are returning to college campuses across the state as many classes start this week.

South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn says they have been planning for many months.

Dunn says the goal is to control and contain any possible outbreaks of the coronavirus.

Dunn says their student retention will be better then had been earlier feared.

The campus in Brookings is under safety level orange which means moderate levels of community spread and face coverings are required in all public indoor spaces on campus. Several courses will also start the fall term as online only.
