More arrests made in connection with intentional damage

ABERDEEN, S.D. (APD Facebook) – Last night Aberdeen Police made an additional arrest in reference to the intentional damage cases under investigation. Wyatt Benjamin Hammer, age 18 of Huron, was arrested and charged with felony intentional damage.

This morning Aberdeen Police arrested Stetson John Baloun, age 19 of Aberdeen. Baloun was charged with felony intentional damage.

Aberdeen Police have learned that in addition to vehicles, the suspects were targeting outdoor Christmas decorations. Please inspect your vehicles, homes, and Christmas decorations. Call 626-7911 and ask to meet with an officer if you have unreported damage.

Aberdeen Police have also learned that in some instances a bat was used to damage vehicles (primarily rear view mirrors). If you have damage that is consistent, please report that as well.

Thus far Aberdeen Police have taken 104 reports of damage to individual vehicles.
