(WNAX)- The tour of eastern South Dakota state facilities by a legislative committee has led to more questions and ideas.
Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Appropriations, says a stop at the Human Services Center brought up several concerns and questions.
Hunhoff says the growing shortage of nurses was highlighted during a stop at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls.
Hunhoff says changes in ag education at South Dakota State University were also in the spotlight.
The committee also made stops in Vermillion, Huron and Redfield. The committee will make a similar west river tour later this summer.
