STURGIS, S.D.(KBHB) – A sure sign this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will be bigger than last year – the number of vendor licenses issued in town is already up 266 over 2024.
Sturgis Finance Officer Ann Bertolotto told the Council Monday night about the increases.
Bertolotto says overall, they are at 494 licenses, compared to 228 in 2024.
With the Rally officially beginning on Friday, Sturgis City Administrator Aaron Jordan says the Department of Revenue rolls into town Tuesday.
It’s expected the number of licenses will increase a bit in the coming days.
Bertolotto says they received a lot of emails over the weekend when their office was closed. She says because of that, they may work the weekend before the Rally next year in order to keep up.
