YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Mount Marty University in Yankton dedicated the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse on Friday.

The 100,000 square foot facility holds an eight lane running track, an 80-yard artificial turf field plus workout and training rooms and class space.

Mount Marty President Marc Long says it is another big step.

Long says they have had a number of partners to make the $15 million dollar project possible.

Long says there will be long term benefits to the university and the community.

The school official became a university on July 1 and also opened a new on campus residence hall.
