National Cattlemen’s Beef Association looking ahead to 2025

PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Republican President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn into office next month and the President of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association sees some positive things ahead for cattle producers in this second Trump Administration.

Wyoming rancher Mark Eisele (eyes-lee) says there’s no shortage of problems they’d like to find solutions for.

A lack of people willing to work on farms and ranches is another struggle Eisele would like to see addressed.

Eisele says there are shortages in many different segments of agriculture.

Republican President-elect Donald Trump has nominated former White House aide Brooke Rollins to be his Secretary of Agriculture, as he prepares to move back into the White House in Washington, D.C..

Eisele is cautiously optimistic about Rollins taking the reins of the federal Agriculture Department.

Eisele also sees some positive things ahead for cattle producers in this second Trump Administration.

Personally, Eisele says taxation may be his “biggest ax to grind.”

Just like any other business, Eisele says farmers and ranchers use whichever tax structures are most beneficial.

The new session of the U.S. Congress begins Jan. 3, 2025. Trump will be sworn in as President on Jan. 20, 2025.
