National History Day regional competition Wednesday at NSU

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Northern State will be hosting a National History Day regional competition on Wednesday, March 13.

The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to Noon at the NSU Student Center and Williams Library, will feature about 225 middle and high school students from a variety of schools.

Ric Dias, Professor of History at NSU, talked about the event.

He said that this year’s theme is “Triumph and Tragedy.”

There will be more than a half million students nationwide participating in the event. Schools that will be bringing students to Northern include Britton Hecla, Florence, Henry, Sioux Valley Summit, Waverly-South Shore, Wilmot and Ellendale, N.D.
