Navigator VP testifies in front of the South Dakota PUC

FORT PIERRE, S.D. (KJJQ) — Testimony continues in Ft. Pierre for the Navigator carbon capture pipeline. That line would run to three ethanol plants in eastern South Dakota, including the Valero plant at Aurora. The plan is to carry
liquid carbon dioxide to long-term storage and/or processing locations.

Stephen Lee is Executive Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Navigator C-O-2 Ventures. He was questioned Monday by the members of the Public Utilities Commission.

Commissioner Gary Hanson had a question for Lee on the safety carbon pipelines.

Lee says they will build a safe pipeline.

The permitting hearing for the Navigator Pipeline is expected to wrap up later this week.
