WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Senate negotiations over a disaster aid package have broken down again and will have to wait until Senators return from a two-week recess.
South Dakota Senator John Thune blamed Democrats for the block.
Thune says there are also differences with the House version of disaster help.
Thune says in the past, disaster aid has been pretty easy to pass.
Senators have to agree among themselves before they work through differences with the House version.
