Storybook Land’s newest ride, Barnyard, is now being installed in the amusement park.

The new attraction will twirl and rock, just like Dorothy’s journey through a twister in the Wizard of Oz.

The new ride was okayed last year by the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation board in partnership with the Aberdeen Sertoma Club, who managed the community efforts to help fundraise enough money for the $435,000 attraction.

According to Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director Mark Hoven, the new Barnyard ride was bought from the Italian company Zamperla, which specializes in amusement park attractions.

Storybook Land is open for walk through ONLY from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Land of Oz will open for the 2024 summer season Memorial Day weekend.
