New equipment used to screen bags introduced at Aberdeen Regional Airport

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- TSA(Transportation Security Administration) introduced Wednesday a new way to screen bags for flight coming out of the Aberdeen Airport.

Mark Heisley, TSA South Dakota Federal Security Director talks about how the new machine works.

The equipment was installed back in August.  Heisley saids this is something that has been in the process for some time.

Heisley talks about the capacity of the machine can take at one time.

The machine that is used here in Aberdeen will take them one at a time.

Hunting season is just around the corner & Heisley offer advice for those who want to bring weapons onto the plane.

Aberdeen is the final location to have this equipment installed.  Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Watertown, & Pierre have already have this equipment in place.
