New senior living facility opening up in October at Fort Pierre

FORT PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- The company building a new senior living complex in Fort Pierre says the facility is expected to open Oct. 1, 2023.

Victoria Blatchford is a Senior Vice-President for HME Care, the company that owns and operates Peaceful Pines senior living communities. She says they emphasize interacting with other residents.

Blatchford says they are the first senior living community in South Dakota to offer Care Predict technology for the residents and their loved ones.

Along with health information, Blatchford says Care Predict helps staff be more efficient in the care they provide.

The facility will have 15 memory care units, 20 assisted living units and 19 independent living units along with community activity space.

HME Care currently has senior living communities open in Milbank and Rapid City, with facilities under construction at Fort Pierre, Spearfish, Madison and Huron.
