PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The State of South Dakota has been encouraging people to download and use the “CARE-19” app that tracks movements and could be used to trace the contacts of people that test positive for a COVID-19 infection.
State Health Department Secretary Kim Malsam-Rysdon says so far, no one using the app has tested positive.
Malsam-Rysdon says the app only uses location information.
The app is reporting just over 18,000 users now.
