Noem not saying much about crash involving Attorney General

WATERTOWN, S.D. (KWAT) — South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is not saying much about a fatal crash involving Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.

The Department of Public Safety says Ravnsborg called the Hyde County Sheriff Saturday night to report he’d hit a deer on U.S. Highway 14 just outside of Highmore.

It turns out, he hit a pedestrian, who was killed.

Noem was asked about the situation during a stop in Watertown on Monday.

She says investigators need time to do their work, just as they would on any other fatality crash.

The man killed in the accident is identified as 55 year-old Joseph Boever of Highmore.
