PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is open to the idea of reforming police at the state and local level.
That comes after the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police.
She says those changes can’t come from Washington.
Noem says the people have the power to make those changes.
Noem says people have to be able to take part in this and any other debate.
Noem says she is willing to talk to legislative leaders about any proposed changes.
