PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem will deliver her 2022 budget proposal to a joint meeting of the legislature Tuesday.
She says a year ago most of the state was recovering from major flooding.
Noem says she will have suggestions for the budget surplus and some one time money.
Noem says the pandemic impacts will linger for several years.
Noem says the state also has several hundred million dollars in CARES Act funding to spend before the end of the year.
