PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Following the fireworks at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem flew with President Trump on Air Force One back to Washington, arriving about four Saturday morning.

She says it was a chance to talk to Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.

Noem says she also had time with the President.

Noem says the ongoing issues with tribal highway checkpoints also came up.

Noem says she expects a resolution of the check points soon.
