PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota is not New York and Governor Kristi Noem wants people to keep cool.
She says South Dakota will get through this as long as everyone does what they’re supposed to do.
The Governor says government can only do so much – this is not China where “draconian” measures have been used or even Europe.
Noem says she takes her responsibility for public safety very seriously, but South Dakotans themselves are primarily responsible for their safety. She says most are doing what needs to be done to slow the spread of COVID-19, including social distancing.
