Northern Night will be virtual event

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Northern State is nearing the end of the on-campus portion of its fall semester.

While things haven’t been normal, activities are still taking place. That includes Northern Night at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 which will be a virtual event this year, according to NSU President Dr. Tim Downs.

He said the university has tried to keep things as normal as possible while still maintaining CDC guidelines.

Northern has provided free COVID testing this fall and is also encouraging students to take advantage of the free testing currently taking place at the Brown County Fairgrounds. Plans are also being formulated for next semester.

Northern will be wrapping up its on-campus portion of the current semester in eight days. Students will finish the rest of the semester online before returning to campus Jan. 11.

Downs said that the spring semester will feature more breaks in the schedule.
