ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – A partnership between Northern State University and Red Rooster Coffee House will bring a tasty new brew to the region – and scholarship money to students.
NSU and the Red Rooster have teamed up to offer Wolves Blend fresh roasted coffee beans. The coffee – a Certified Fair Trade, organic medium roast – will be available starting in early January, though a few test bags are available for sale at the coffee house this week.
Proceeds from sales of Wolves Blend coffee will support NSU student scholarships.
Red Rooster owner Dan Cleberg said the coffee house has partnered with Northern in many ways in the past 25 years, from employing students as baristas to collaborating on events with students and faculty.
“As an alumnus it feels good to stay connected with NSU in these ways, and now partnering with NSU to create a signature coffee product is a logical evolution in the NSU/Red Rooster relationship,” Cleberg said. “It’s a perfect way to create a connection with our school while enjoying our daily flavorful pick-me-up. Nothing’s going to ‘Unleash your Potential’ like a jolt of caffeine!”
Red Rooster Coffee House is located at 218 S. Main St. in downtown Aberdeen. For more information, visit the Red Rooster website.
