Northern Softball HC Ashley Schilling Pursuing another Coaching Move

Aberdeen, S.D. (nsuwolves.com) – Northern State University Director of Athletics Nate Davis announced today that he received the resignation of Ashley Schilling from the head softball coach position. Schilling will move on from NSU to pursue another coaching venture.

“We appreciate Coach Schilling for her efforts to continue building the Northern State softball program and wish her continued success moving forward,” noted Davis.

In her three seasons at the helm, the Wolves went 51-96 overall and 23-61 in the Northern Sun. In the spring of 2024, they qualified for the NSIC Tournament, but ultimately fell to Minot State in the opening round. Four Wolves earned NSIC All-Conference accolades, and five school records were broken in her tenure.

A national search for Schilling’s replacement will begin immediately.
