Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State University head football coach Mike Schmidt announced the signing of Daniel Britt today as a member of the 2024 roster. A Nevada native, Britt joins the Wolves for his final two collegiate seasons after competing at Northern Arizona University and Montana.
“We are thrilled to announce the signing of Daniel Britt, a talented and proven quarterback with winning DNA,” explained Schmidt. “His mobility and accuracy make him a dual-threat option for Coach Hein and our offense, and we look forward to what he will bring to our team. We add transfers to enhance our roster. We have no doubt that Daniel will help our football program.”
Originally from Las Vegas, Britt redshirted at Montana and spent two seasons with NAU. He is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound quarterback, that was a decorated prep athlete at Liberty High School. He was a 2-year starter and captain for the Patriots and head coach Rich Muraco. As a junior, Britt tallied over 2,500 passing yards and 30 touchdowns, with a 79.0% completion rate. He was named the Nevada Offensive Player of the Year, leading LHS to the state championship. In addition, Britt was a member of the 702 Blessed program in his senior season (2020-21), recording 25 touchdowns and league MVP honors en route to a league championship. In his redshirt season at Montana, Britt was named the 2021-22 scout team player of the year. He has appeared in nine collegiate contests, recording 265 yards rushing and 374 yards passing. Britt holds a 68.1 pass completion percentage. He is the son of Kristen Cervantes.
