Northern welcoming students back for new semester Monday

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Students will be back on campus at Northern State to start the second semester on Monday.

There has been no on-campus learning since before Thanksgiving, with the semester wrapping up online.

Justin Fraase, Vice President of Enrollment, Communications and Marketing, talked about the return of students.

He said part of what happens on campus is mandated by the Board of Regents, such as mask wearing on campus, while other policies are determined by Northern.

While some universities are mandating COVID tests before allowing students back on campus, Northern State is not.

Despite the pandemic, Northern continued to offer a variety of events last semester and will continue to do so this year as well.
