Northwestern North Dakota could see a touch of winter

BISMARCK, N.D. (KWAT) — It’s only the beginning of fall, but northwestern North Dakota could see a touch of winter this weekend.

National Weather Service meteorologist Janine Vining says a fairly large weather system is on its way – and that will start cooling things off. She says as the system moves closer to the northern plains, it will draw some more cool air from Canada.

Vining says no matter what – it will likely be another wet weekend.
