BISMARCK, ND (PlayNorthStar.com) [WBB] – The North Star Athletic Association announced their third edition of the 2023-24 Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week Monday. Jordan Zrust of Mayville State (N.D.) was selected as the Women’s Basketball Player-ofthe-Week for the second straight week.

Jordan Zrust – Mayville State (N.D.) – 6’0” – Graduate Student – guard – Buffalo, Minn. – Zrust averaged double-double for the week as No. 22 ranked Mayville State (N.D.) went 2-0 record. She scored 16 points and earned nine
rebounds in Comets’ 83-57 home victory over NCAA Division III Minnesota-Morris. Zrust also stole the ball four times in the game. She followed up with 11 points and 13 rebounds in MSU’s 67-62 victory at Warner (Fla.). For the week, Zrust totaled 27 points and 22 rebounds. She averaged 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game for the week.

BISMARCK, ND (PlayNorthStar.com) [MBB] – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has announced its third installment of the 2023-24 Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week Tuesday. Hunter Lyman of Valley City (N.D.) was selected to the conference weekly men’s basketball honor.

Hunter Lyman – Valley City State (N.D.) – 6’8″ – Junior – forward – West Fargo, N.D. – Lyman averaged a doubledouble of 11 points and 11 rebounds as Valley City State (N.D.) went 2-1 record for the week. He scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in VCSU’s home victory over Oak Hills (Minn.). He followed up with 19 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double, despite a setback to Rocky Mountain (Mont.). For the week, Lyman shot 13-of-15 from the field (86.7 percent). He recorded totals of 33 points and 33 rebounds.
