ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – While things may look a bit different on the campus of Northern State this fall, there is still plenty of activity in the music department.
The school will host the NSU Faculty Showcase Recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Harvey and Cynthia Jewett Theater inside the Johnson Fine Arts Center. Dr. Ken Boulton, Dean of Fine Arts, talked about the event.
Tickets will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will open around 6:45 p.m. Masks will be required and social distancing recommendations will be observed.
Boulton said a live stream option will also be available.
The NSU Marching Band will not have football games or a homecoming parade this fall, but the unit has already been out and about and has other events lined up.
The band will also be part of the Roncalli Parade of Bands on Sept. 30.
Boulton said while life is different on campus, everybody is doing their best to make things work and things are going well.
